Eyeliner! part 2

The previous entry I had on eyeliner was primarily aimed at the make-up artist beginner and now I want to focus this entry on sharing a new product that a more advanced make-up artist needs in their kit: Napoleon Perdis' China Doll Eyeliner.

This eyeliner is from a new line that I found when I was in L.A. in June.  Napoleon is a make-up artist from Australia with his own line and also a make-up academy in Sydney.  They have a gorgeous brand new store that I happened upon on Hollywood Blvd., just a few blocks from Grauman's Chinese Theatre.  This concept store makes you feel beautiful just by walking in, with it's bright decor and plush atmosphere.  The sales people are all very knowledge about the products, ready to give demos and full of great energy.  Actually it was quite tricky leaving the store since I walked in with three of my make-up artist friends we could have stayed there for hours testing out the products.

So back to the eyeliner..it is a gel consistency so it goes on quite smoothly, once it's on though it will not budge through sweat or tears.  I picked up both the Equinox (black) and Heaven (blue).  However I did find some problems with the Heaven not going on quite as smoothly as I'd like, but Equinox is a dream item for anyone's kit.

These concept stores are only on the west coast for now, but I believe that this line is also carried in Sephora.  And you can always check out their website:

*On a side note I also picked up a lip pencil there, Rubis, which was a perfect match for a lip gloss I have from Rouge Make-up Studio called Miami.  They are a beautiful bright coral color, perfect for this time of year when the summer is winding down and you have a lot of color in your skin.  It can also give you a great retro 1950's look.
